Brussels mission to the US East Coast 03/01/12
In December 2011, Marc Daugherty conducted an FDI roadshow on the East Coast of the United States. This assignment was designed with two objectives in mind. Firstly to develop a long-term collaborative relationship with the Research Triangle in North Carolina. Further to hold presentations and FDI meetings with just under a dozen companies in four cities: Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York and Boston.
The companies met included a solar energy integrator and designer from Rhode Island, a construction company with an annual turnover of 8 billion dollars, and several of the US’ most distinguished international law firms.
Intensive follow-up work began apace upon return with Brussels Invest & Export and other Brussels’ based institutions, such as the Brussels Enterprise Agency and AMCHAM.
